The Diaper
Why is The Diaper unique?
We created The Diaper from scratch with the goal to make the best diaper available in terms of performance and quality. It has a soft-as-cashmere feel and is hypoallergenic, making it gentle on the skin. We designed The Diaper to minimize the occurrence of leaks, blowouts, and diaper rash, by incorporating an absorbent core that can hold up to 70% more liquid. This ensures that The Diaper stays dry for a longer time, even overnight (for more uninterrupted sleep!). Our products undergo thorough third-party testing and we carefully consider customer feedback to continuously improve their quality. For more information on product transparency, you can read our full Diaper Safety Report here.
How many diapers come in a box?
The quantity of diapers in each box differs based on the size. You may notice that as the size increases, the number of diapers per size decreases. While older (bigger) babies often wet their diapers less frequently, the amount of materials utilized in each diaper increases.
Size N: 186 diapers
Size N/1: 192 diapers (93 size N diapers, 99 size 1 diapers)
Size 1: 198 diapers
Size 2: 186 diapers
Size 3: 168 diapers
Size 4: 150 diapers
Size 5: 132 diapers
Size 6: 108 diapers
Size 7: 96 diapers
How long does a box of The Diaper typically last?
Each box of The Diaper typically lasts about one month, but this can differ based on your child's age and changing habits. If you have too many packs at the end of your month, or you're running out of them sooner than anticipated, you may modify your recurring shipment frequency in your Account page or by emailing us at hello@coterie.com or texting us at 951-467-4913.
Where do you manufacture The Diaper?
The Diaper is made in Canada, with components from the United States, Finland, Japan and the Netherlands. We selected our manufacturing partner because of their superior technology, high-quality control, and best-in-class facilities. They are also certified with ISO standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
What are the materials in The Diaper?
The Diaper's absorbent core is made of sodium polyacrylate (SAP) and Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) wood pulp from sustainably managed forests. The nonwoven backsheet is made from polypropylene, polyester and polyethylene, and the topsheet is made of polypropylene. Our high loft nonwoven acquisition layer is made from polyester and the hook tab fastening system is made of polypropylene / polyethylene, film and adhesive. The Diaper is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, but we recommend consulting with your doctor if you’re concerned about a certain allergen, fabric, or medical condition. Please note that we cannot say that our products are vegan because that classification is reserved for food products. In any case, our products do not contain any materials from animal sources. For more information on product transparency, you can read our full Diaper Safety Report here.
Is The Diaper recyclable or compostable?
The Diaper is not presently recyclable and should be disposed of in a trash or diaper bin. The process to recycle diaper materials is difficult due to two current barriers: collecting and sorting the used diapers from the waste stream, and sanitizing the diapers.
Our focus is on sustainable material research and development, with the ultimate goal of creating a fully biodegradable or recyclable disposable diaper. For more information, visit our Coterie Impact page here.
How does The Diaper compare in price to other diaper brands?
We have designed the highest performing diaper on the market to provide the utmost comfort for babies and make parents' lives easier with our flexible subscription service, all at comparable pricing to other premium brands like Huggies Special Delivery, Pampers Pure, and Dyper.
What makes The Diaper unique is the ultra-soft feel that wicks moisture away faster, keeps skin drier, and has the highest liquid capacity of any diaper on the U.S. market. This ensures that The Diaper stays dry for a longer time, even during overnight use (for more uninterrupted sleep!), so you can spend less time waking up to change diapers and more time recharging for quality time with your little one.
Why did you change your packaging designs?
Your babies are growing, and so are we! We’ve optimized our packaging designs for our site, partner sites, and store shelves, making it easy for you to find info about our sizes, claims, and materials while maintaining our premium look and feel. Our packaging is design-led, detail-oriented, and made with parents in mind.
Has The Diaper changed along with the packaging?
The Diaper is the same one you know and love, just wrapped in new packaging. Prior to rolling out these new packaging designs, we upgraded the wetness indicator on The Diaper (as previously announced via email and social). Otherwise, all the materials and pack counts remain the same. We’re always hard at work on R&D to bring you the best possible products, and we’ll be transparent with you on future changes.
Does The Diaper have a wetness indicator? Does it include toxic chemicals?
To keep your baby dry and comfortable, we’ve included a wetness indicator that turns a dark gray so you can quickly and reliably see when it’s time for a change. Although the indicator is applied to the inner layers of the diaper and never comes in contact with your baby’s skin, we’ve taken extra precaution to make ours free from potentially harmful chemicals: fluorinated substances, quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), and bromocresol green.
The Pant
Why is The Pant unique?
The Pant is a first-of-its-kind diaper-pant hybrid, designed for comfort during movement, streamlined changes, and a gentler transition into potty training.
It’s ergonomically engineered with 2.5x more stretch than other leading training pants to enable more comfortable movement at developmentally important stages, without sacrificing absorption or leak protection. Wrap-around pleating adapts to babies changing bodies, so it’s comfortable on full bellies, snug on empty bellies, and won’t sag with movement.
The Pant also gives you versatile changing options: pull it up and down like underwear to help babies get used to the motion required for potty training, or change it lying down like a traditional diaper with the adjustable, resealable waistband.
When is the best time to introduce The Pant to my baby?
All babies are built differently, and go through progressions and regressions at their own pace—you know your baby best, but we’d be happy to provide you with some guidelines:
- If your baby wears The Diaper size 3+ and is especially active (crawling and/or wiggling on the changing table), you may want to try The Pant.
- If your baby sizes out of The Diaper, we recommend moving to The Pant.
- If you’re preparing for potty training, or your baby is showing signs that they’re ready to learn to pull their pants up and down, the Pant can be a helpful tool to ease in with a baby-led approach to potty training and acclimate your baby to a more ‘underwear-like’ feel
How many pants come in a box?
The quantity of pants in each box differs based on the size. You may notice that as the size increases, the number of pants per size decreases. While older (bigger) babies often wet their pants less frequently, the amount of materials utilized in each pant increases.
Size 3: 144 pants
Size 4: 136 pants
Size 5: 112 pants
Size 6: 92 pants
For more information, you can read our Sizing 101 page here for useful tips on box quantities and sizing.
How long does a box of The Pant typically last?
Each box of The Pant typically lasts about one month, and this can differ depending on whether you're using The Pant as a complement to The Diaper and your child's age, activity level, and changing habits. If you have too many packs at the end of your month, or you're running out of them sooner than anticipated, you may modify your recurring shipment frequency in your Account page or by emailing us at hello@coterie.com or texting us at 951-467-4913.
Where do you manufacture The Pant?
The Pant is made in Japan by a highly experienced and vetted manufacturing partner who is the pioneer of this new diapering technology and design. We selected our manufacturing partner because of their superior technology, high-quality control, and best-in-class facilities. We started the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) process this year and look forward to receiving that certification soon!
What are the materials in The Pant?
The Pant is made with the following materials: super absorbent polymer (SAP), polyolefin / polyester, polyester / polyolefin nonwoven, polyolefin film, polyolefin, polyurethane, styrene-based elastomer film, and styrene-based elastomer synthetic resin. It is free of 200+ potentially harmful or irritating chemicals; including fragrance, lotion, dyes, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, pesticides, VOCs, organotins, PFOS and perfluorinated compounds. The Pant is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, but we recommend consulting with your doctor if you’re concerned about a certain allergen, fabric, or medical condition. Please note that we cannot say that our products are vegan because that classification is reserved for food products. In any case, our products do not contain any materials from animal sources. For more information, you can read our full Pant Safety Report here.
Is The Pant recyclable or compostable?
The Pant is not presently recyclable and should be disposed of in a trash or diaper bin.

Our packaging is design-led, detail-oriented, and made with parents in mind.
Has The Pant changed along with the packaging?
Along with our new packaging designs, we have given The Pant a small (but meaningful) design enhancement. It now has a higher leg cut and shortened resealable fasteners to minimize chafing and provide a 'just right' fit on all shapes of baby bodies. While all other features and materials of The Pant remain exactly the same, we hope this small update helps your baby feel even more free to crawl, wiggle, and explore. We’re always hard at work on R&D to bring you the best possible products, and we’ll be transparent with you on future changes.
Coterie Wipes
Why are Coterie Wipes unique?
Coterie wipes were designed with utmost care and attention to detail. The Wipe and The Soft Wipe are hypoallergenic, soft, strong, and up to 30% larger than other wipes. They’re clean for babies and the planet, made with 100% plant-based, plastic-free, sustainably-sourced fibers.
For parents seeking to cleanse, moisturize, and help support the developing skin barrier, The Soft Wipe does just that, all in one plush wipe enhanced with premium cotton. For parents seeking only the essential cleansing agents in a pared-back ingredient list, The Wipe is made with 99% purified water and just 5 essential ingredients.
Coterie wipes are hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and pediatrician approved, and formulated with ingredients rated safe by the EWG. Coterie wipes have received the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, and are suitable for eczema-prone and sensitive newborn skin.
For more information on product transparency, you can read our full Wipes Safety Report here.
Where are Coterie Wipes manufactured?
Our wipes are designed in the US and made in China. We selected our manufacturing partner because of their superior technology, high-quality control, and best-in-class facilities. They are also certified with ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Their purifying water system processes water up to pharmaceutical grade too, which is the cleanest and highest grade in safety.
What materials are in your wipes?
The Wipe’s cleansing solution contains 99% Purified Water; the other 1% is made up of 5 gentle ingredients—Sodium Benzoate (mild, food-grade preservative), Caprylyl Glycol (skin conditioner + preservative), Citric Acid (naturally occurring pH balancer), Glycerin (natural humectant), and Decyl Glucoside (plant-derived cleanser). The Wipe is made of 100% plant-based, plastic-free, biodegradable fibers—a blend of VEOCEL™ lyocell and VEOCEL™ viscose.
The Soft Wipe’s cleansing solution contains Purified Water, Glycerin (humectant), Dimethicone (skin conditioner), Cetyl Isononanoate (skin protectant), Ceteareth-20 (surfactant + stabilizer), Cetearyl Alcohol (skin conditioner), Sodium Benzoate (food-grade preservative), Glyceryl Stearate (emollient), Citric Acid (pH balancer), Ethylhexylglycerin (skin conditioner), Caprylyl Glycol (skin conditioner + preservative), Cetyl Palmitate (emollient), Ceteareth-12 (skin conditioner + surfactant), Benzoic Acid (preservative), and Caesalpinia Spinosa Fruit Extract (antioxidant). The Soft Wipe is made of 100% plant-based, plastic-free, biodegradable fibers—a blend of VEOCEL™ viscose and at least 15% premium cotton.
Coterie wipes are hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and pediatrician approved, and formulated with ingredients rated safe by EWG (meaning the product and all of its ingredients meet their strict criteria for transparency and health). Coterie wipes have received The National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, and are suitable for eczema-prone and sensitive newborn skin.
Are your wipes recyclable or compostable?
While many baby wipes are made with some form of plastic, The Wipe and The Soft Wipe are both made with 100% biodegradable, plant-based, and plastic-free fibers.
That means our wipes are technically compostable, but shouldn't be home composted if they've been used to clean feces, as they may contain bacteria from gut flora. Instead, if these soiled wipes are placed in the trash, they will decompose in the landfill without leaving any residues.
Please note that The Wipe and The Soft Wipe are not flushable!
Can I use your wipes on other parts of my baby (face, hands, etc.)?
Coterie wipes (both The Wipe and The Soft Wipe) are safe to use on all areas of your baby's delicate skin. However, they aren’t just for babies! Many of our customers also love it for cleaning up, removing makeup, or freshening up after a workout. Coterie wipes are formulated for not only their ability to clean, but also their gentleness on the skin. Please note that Coterie wipes are for external use only, please avoid the inside of the eyes, noses, mouth, etc and they shouldn't be ingested.
Can I put Coterie wipes in a warmer?
We do not recommend putting Coterie wipes in a wipe warmer. In general, hot and humid conditions can cause wipes to dry out and promote microbial growth. Our wipes are a fresh product and should be stored in a cool, dry place. Additionally, we do not recommend removing wipes from their pack, or transferring them to a wipe dispenser.
Do your wipes expire?
Our wipes, like all wipes, do expire with time. If stored in a cool, dry place, they last up to a year once opened, and longer if still sealed. The expiration date can be found on each individual pack.
The Swimsuit
How many swim diapers come in a pack?
The quantity of swim diapers in each box differs based on the size. You may notice that as the swim diapers become larger in size, the number of swim diapers per pack decreases as the amount of materials utilized in each diaper increases.
Small: 20 swim diapers
Medium: 18 swim diapers
Large: 17 swim diapers
What are the materials in The Swimsuit?
The compact, plant-based core is made of cellulose, polypropylene and polyethylene. The nonwoven topsheet, backsheet, waistband and leg cuffs are made from polypropylene/polyethylene. There is a polyethylene film, elastomer, adhesives, and certified skin-safe inks. Our swim diapers are hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, but we recommend consulting with your doctor if you’re concerned about a certain allergen, fabric, or medical condition. Please note that we cannot say that our products are vegan because that classification is reserved for food products. In any case, our diapers do not contain any materials from animal sources. For more information, you can read our full Swimsuit Safety Report here.
Where do you manufacture The Swimsuit?
The Swimsuit is made by the same manufacturer as our classic, most-loved Diaper. The Swimsuit is made in Canada, with materials made in Canada, Mexico, and the US. We selected our manufacturing partner because of their superior technology, high quality control, and best-in-class facilities. They are also certified with ISO standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Is The Swimsuit recyclable or compostable?
The Swimsuit is not presently recyclable and should be disposed of in a trash or diaper bin. The process to recycle diaper materials is difficult due to two current barriers: collecting and sorting the used diapers from the waste stream, and sanitizing the diapers.
Sizing & Trial Packs
What is the right size for my baby?
Our Sizing 101 page is a great place to start, but we know that all babies are built differently. When it comes to choosing the perfect size, we consider weight, waist circumference, body type (height and build), and age.
We like to think that The Diaper and The Pant run true-to-size, but in some cases, they may run small. If your baby is in between sizes on our sizing chart, we recommend sizing up for a better fit since leaks and blowouts are often a sign that it’s time to size up.
For our Auto-Renew customers, we offer the option to add single packs of The Diaper and The Pant to your next order, allowing you to conveniently try another size. You can add up to two packs to your next Auto-Renew by choosing a 'One-time add-on' from your account page.
If you're still unsure, feel free to reach out to us at hello@coterie.com with your baby's specifics (weight, waist circumference, body type (height and build), and age) and we'd be happy to help you find the perfect fit.
How should The Diaper fit my baby?
For information on how The Diaper should fit your baby, check out our Sizing 101 page. If you're still unsure, feel free to contact us at hello@coterie.com and provide your baby's specifics (weight, waist circumference, body type (height and build), and age) and we'd be happy to help you find the perfect fit.
How should The Pant fit my baby?
If you’re already using The Diaper, we recommend ordering the same size in The Pant. However, The Pant runs a bit longer, so if our diaper you’re currently using is at or above the belly button or the tabs are almost overlapping, we recommend sizing down in The Pant.
If you’ve used Pull-Ups, Easy Ups, or other training pants, you'll want to size down in Coterie as The Pant fit slightly larger.
For more information about sizing and fit, check out our Sizing 101 page. If you're still unsure, feel free to contact us at hello@coterie.com and provide your baby's specifics (weight, waist circumference, body type (height and build), and age) and we'd be happy to help you find the perfect fit.
How should I decide between The Diaper and The Pant?
Our products are carefully designed to meet the needs of babies at different stages of development. The Diaper is perfect for newborns and non-crawling infants, effectively wicking away moisture to minimize diaper rash and keep delicate skin dry. Our sizing can accommodate babies up to 41 lbs.
The Pant is designed for active babies, allowing for more flexible movement and a gentler transition into potty training. It can grow with you all from just crawling through potty training. Our pant sizing begins at 14 lbs and can accommodate children up to 62 lbs, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit throughout the transition period.
When to switch from The Diaper to The Pant depends on your baby's individual needs and your own preferences. To find the perfect fit for your little one, be sure to check out our Sizing 101 page for guidance on choosing the right product based on your baby's size and stage of development.
Do you offer trial packs?
You can purchase Trial Packs for The Diaper here and for The Pant here. Each Diaper Trial Pack order includes 10 diapers total (across two packs of 5), and each Pant Trial Pack order includes 8 pants total (across two packs of 4) — you can choose two different sizes to find your baby’s ideal fit, or simply get all the same size. Please note that we are unable to ship Trial Packs to Alaska and Hawaii due to high shipping costs.
We also do not offer samples of The Wipe or The Swimsuit at this time, but they are available for one-time purchase.
How long will it take to receive my trial pack?
Trial Pack orders ship via Economy (UPS SurePost) and typically arrive within 7 business days, although some orders may take up to 14 business days.
Note all other order types ship via Standard (UPS Ground or OnTrac) and typically arrive within 1-5 business days.
