How to Simplify Your Diaper Changing Station

What you actually need (and what you don’t).

Parent PSA: Simplify your changing station

What you actually need

As parents who’ve changed a lot of diapers, we can confirm: you don’t need a stacked caddy full of 10+ “must-have” products to get through the day. From our experience, you can get by with just a few hardworking, multitasking essentials—some you might already be using.

Here’s how to simplify and declutter your diaper changing station.

1. You don’t need separate diapers for day and night

Many brands market different diapers for daytime and overnight use, which often means buying multiple products in multiple sizes.

In pursuit of simplifying our lives, we only have one diaper—The Diaper, and it works no matter what time it is. It’s not too bulky for daytime wear, but it doesn’t require additional ‘hacks’ to keep it from leaking overnight (like sizing up, adding extra inserts, or doubling up on diapers).

2. Use our wipes for more than just diaper changes

While The Wipe is gentle enough for daily diaper changes—with 99% purified water + 5 clean ingredients—we also made them extra-thick, soft, and large, so they can tackle the many messes that come with parenting: think sticky hands and faces, high chair spills, car seat crumbs, activity table clean-up, and even muddy pet paws. One wipe, many uses.

3. One balm can replace multiple lotions and creams

We might be biased, but Bun Balm is one of our favorite multitaskers. While traditional diaper creams tend to be used exclusively for diaper changes, our balm is designed to go almost everywhere.

According to perception results from a 28-day, dermatologist-supervised clinical study, Bun Balm can help protect skin from excess moisture to minimize diaper rash—and also softens and soothes dry patches on noses, knees, elbows, cheeks, and even parents.

And you don’t need to wait for a rash to use it.

“It’s easier to maintain healthy skin than repair damaged skin. Applying Bun Balm daily can help keep the skin barrier strong, hydrated, and protected—reducing the chance of issues in the first place.”

— Dr. Mona, Board Certified Pediatrician

P.S. It is what’s inside that counts—but Bun Balm also happens to look very cute sitting out on your changing station.
